A recent glitch has allowed players to access the OG Warzone lobby menu, featuring the iconic Verdansk map. Popular content creator @tdawgsmitty shared a video showing how they activated the glitch, redirecting them to the original Warzone lobby.
With this glitch reviving access to the original Warzone lobby menu, players are experiencing a wave of nostalgia as they revisit a cherished element of the game. This article will provide details about the glitch and how to access the menu yourself.
A new Call of Duty glitch is letting players access the OG Warzone lobby
This glitch allows players to revisit the OG Warzone lobby, featuring the Verdansk map. However, you cannot enter the map itself, as the glitch only grants access to the main lobby menu. It also displays the option to initiate matchmaking, but since the servers are down, the process will remain stuck on ''Connecting to matchmaking service," with no further action.
While streamer @tdawgsmitty demonstrated the glitch, the video did not reveal what happens beyond accessing the menu.
To activate the glitch, follow these steps as shown in @tdawgsmitty's clip:
- Launch Call of Duty HQ.
- From the home menu, select the All Games option.
- Locate and select the Modern Warfare (2019) title.
Once selected, the game will attempt to launch. However, instead of loading into Multiplayer or Campaign, a black screen will appear. According to @tdawgsmitty, waiting approximately five minutes on this screen will redirect you to the OG Warzone lobby.
It's important to note that Modern Warfare (2019) must be installed on your system to trigger the glitch. Players without the game installed, like myself, encountered an error and could not access the lobby. Even with the game installed, the glitch activation may not be guaranteed, but reports claimed that it did work for several players.
This glitch is harmless and although players cannot load into games, the ability to access the original Warzone menu evokes a sense of nostalgia. For many OG Warzone fans, it serves as a reminder of the initial days of Warzone, a title that captured the global battle royale market upon its release in 2020.
The title's gameplay, fast-paced movement mechanics, and beautifully designed Verdansk map connected many players, making it one of the most played games. Its launch during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic made it even more popular, as people stayed home and immersed themselves in the action. So, revisiting the original menu lets players relive those memories and appreciate the legacy of the game.
