Game-Breaking Marvel Rivals Exploit Lets Players Banish Opponents Permanently

A newly discovered exploit in Marvel Rivals is turning matches upside down—allowing some players to completely remove their opponents from the game with no chance of return. By combining the powers of Jeff the Land Shark and Doctor Strange, players can trap enemies in unreachable parts of the map, effectively ending their participation in the round.

How the Exploit Works

The glitch revolves around the interaction between Jeff the Land Shark’s ultimate ability, It’s Jeff!, and Doctor Strange’s Pentagram of Farallah portal system. Here's how it plays out:

  1. Jeff uses his ultimate to swallow multiple enemies at once.

  2. Doctor Strange places one portal in a remote, inaccessible area of the map and the other close to Jeff.

  3. When Jeff spits the swallowed enemies into the portal, Doctor Strange immediately swaps to a different character.

  4. The portals vanish—leaving the affected players stranded in the unreachable zone with no way to return to the match.

This exploit renders trapped players completely stuck for the remainder of the round, unable to move, fight, or even respawn. There's currently no in-game counter or recovery method once you're caught in the glitch.

Impact and Developer Response

The exploit has become widespread, with some players using it for laughs and others finding it deeply frustrating—especially in competitive play. Because it disrupts game balance and creates an unfair advantage, the community is expecting a fix from the developers in an upcoming patch.

Until then, players are advised to be cautious when facing a team with both Jeff and Doctor Strange, as the combination can quickly turn the tide of a match in an unintended (and unfair) way.

A Familiar Multiplayer Issue

Glitches like this aren't unheard of in fast-paced multiplayer games, where complex character abilities sometimes interact in unpredictable ways. Still, the severity of this particular exploit has sparked concern within the Marvel Rivals community, who are now waiting on an official response from the development team to restore fair play.
